Return and Refund Policy
At U-Glow, we are committed to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. This Refund Policy is subject to the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA"), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECT Act"), and all other applicable South African laws.
Customers do not have the right to return goods or claim a refund solely on the basis of a change of mind or because the product does not meet personal expectations, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
For hygiene and safety reasons, returns and refunds will not be accepted for products that have been opened, used, or tampered with, unless the product is defective or otherwise subject to a statutory right of return.
Cooling-Off Period for Online Purchases
In accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, consumers may have the right to cancel certain online purchases within seven (7) days of receiving the goods, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
Where a valid cooling-off right applies, the customer will be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.
Non-Returnable Items
For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns of products that have been opened, used, or tampered with, unless the product is defective.
Returned items must be in their original condition, unused, and in their original packaging where applicable.
We reserve the right to inspect all returned goods before processing a refund, replacement, or exchange.
Defective or Damaged Products
If a product is received damaged, defective, unsafe, incorrect, or not of good quality, customers must notify U-Glow as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
In accordance with Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, consumers have the right to return defective, unsafe, or poor-quality goods within six (6) months of delivery. Upon return of a qualifying product, customers may choose to receive:
A repair;
A replacement; or
A full refund.
Return Process
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
Ensure your item meets the return eligibility criteria.
Contact U-Glow to request a return.
Once your return is approved, we will provide instructions on how to return the product.
Please Note: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to a defective, damaged, incorrect, or faulty product.
Items returned without prior approval may not be accepted.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved or declined.
If approved, refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 10 business days. Processing times may vary depending on your bank, credit card provider, or payment service provider.
